Message 1. yes
2. I do it like this write up:

3. IMHO - yes, I do this on EVERY car that I work on, new injectors or old.
4. It's how the 95 harness is wired from the factory.
5. yes
6. You could replace the EFI but that is a much larger job, additionally you'd want a new style CAS or cut over your old connector. You can discuss w. Steve.
7. 95 harness:
a. factory switch 12v
b. you can eliminate the ptu recall harness
c. new style CAS (used units run 50-100) or you have to splice in your old connector

d. no connector for AIV system - must be deleted
e. AC connector different in 94-96 vs 90-93, must be spliced in from old harness
f. harness has plastic "armour" unlike 90-92
g. 5 speed ONLY, automatic has been discontinued

When doing motor pulls - the 95 harness is always my preference. If you think you might do one down the road I recommend getting a 95 harness now and putting it in a safe place. Nissan has raised the price over the past few years by nearly $100 and many of the other 300zx harnesses are already discontinued.

If you would like to talk about it further feel free to email me.

I sell the 95 EFI harness if you're interested:
